INTERNATIONAL EDUCATION FORUM

Dear WorldSkills Delegates,VET Experts and Skills officers around the world,
We are pleased to announce that on 17-19 May 2016 the International Education Forum will be held in Minsk. The highlight of this Forum will be the National Championship of Professional Excellence “WorldSkills Belarus-2016”. During the National Championship there will be competitions where professional excellence will be assessed in over 30 skills, with participation of over 250 young professionals from the Republic of Belarus, Central and Eastern Europe.
As part of the Educational Forum, an International Conference “Professional Potential of the Youth as an Effective Resource for Economic and Social Growth” will take place. This Conference will cover the following topics:
- new professionalism under the growing global competition, rapid change of technologies and increasing economic uncertainty;
- convergence and harmonization of vocational education systems in the countries with developed and developing economies;
- concepts and tools for quality assurance of human сapital in the post-industrial society;
- exploring possibilities to implement WorldSkills Standards for economic success and personal growth;
- prerequisites for the effective professional development and self-fulfilment of today’s youth;
- preparing the youth to take a leading role in start-up business in the hi-tech industries;
- experience and lessons from establishing a learning environment in the workplace
The Conference will include keynote speakers, panel discussions, presentations, working sessions and round tables with the worldwide leading experts in the field of VET and HRD. Among confirmed participants of the event there is the President of WorldSkills International Mr Simon Bartley, as well as prominent policy-makers, managers of educational institutions, business partners.
The working languages of the Conference will be English and Russian, with simultaneous interpretation provided.
There will be also an exhibition of modern training aids “Edu Tech Belarus 2016” and a Cultural Program held within the Forum.
The overall objectives of the event are to offer a multicultural platform for experience exchange, broadening personal and professional networks and promote harmonization of educational systems across different countries, regions, continents.
We are delighted to invite you and your colleagues to participate in this event.
As an integral part of your time at the International Education Forum, the organising committee will host a complimentary International Guest Program providing you the opportunity to attend all the above events towards developing further cooperation across the participating countries and institutions.
There is no registration fee for the Conference and International Guest Program. Moreover, the organizers also offer accredited participants free:
- visa support,
- transfers to/from the airport in Minsk,
- interpreters for translating German or English into Russian (on an individual basis),
- possibility to visit a VET institution,
- possibility of presenting and publication of the materials as part of your attendance at the Conference;
- cultural program and excursions,
- a gala dinner for International Guests,
- preferential prices in selected 3*, 4* or 5* hotels,
- organized local transfers according to the program[1].
